Spay Neuter Services

Our goal is to provide high-quality, low cost basic medical care for your pet.

A spay is a surgery that removes the ovaries and uterus from a female animal. It eliminates the possibility of ovarian and uterine infection and cancer and can also prevent mammary gland tumors.

A neuter is a surgery that removes the testicles from a male animal. It prevents testicular tumors in male dogs and can also reduce aggressiveness and roaming behaviors.

Please note: North Carolina law requires that an dog or cat coming in for surgery have a current rabies shot. If your pet does not have a shot one, will need to be given. If your pet does have a current shot, please bring the paperwork from the veterinarian where the shot was provided. (We cannot accept the tag.)

Vaccines and testing are available for your dog or cat on the day of surgery. Also please note: If your dog or cat has fleas there is an additional charge of $5 for a fast acting flea treatment (Capstar) for any animals infested with fleas. (Flea infestation interferes with the sterility of the surgery.)

All dogs and cats coming from surgery will be given a small green surgical tattoo.
